Another irrigating opportunity
The flycatchers have been enjoying the run of irrigation water into the cow pasture the last few days too. It's been a good chance for me to get some pictures of these colorful little birds.
I'm still still at it
The last couple of days I've been reformatting this site to center on a wide browser window. I'm not done yet so you may continue to see some strange behavior here from time to time.
This morning I was lying abed listening to a podcast and idly surfing the web with the new-to-me Opera Mini browser app on my iPod Touch. What a great piece of work this thing is. It makes this site quite surfable on the small iPod Touch screen, one of my goals with the redesign here. If you use a mobile device, give the Opera Mini a trial run.

It's Time to Go Home
The truth about nature is that she is inside us, all around us, just waiting for us to ask her what to do. The truth about civilization is that it was an honest mistake, an invention that was necessary at the time, a mere 30,000 years ago, when nature appeared to be letting us down and we thought we could do better. But now it has outlived its usefulness, and is out of control, and threatens the survival of all life on our planet, so it's time to let it go. It's time to move forward and imagine and invent a new culture, a sustainable one that works for all creatures on Earth, drawing on the best learnings from nature and the best innovations from civilization.
It's time to go home.
