Yes, I know
The image is messed up. My Verizon connection is so slow here at the Cactus RV Park I can't get the image to finish uploading. I'll have to come back and fix that later.
I miss the internet the most....
[update Monday evening] Finally I'm camped with good access - It's been an interesting weekend - more to follow....
Night camp
Site ?? - Cactus RV Park, Tucumcari NM
- Cactus RV Park is an old 40 site park along the now dilapidated Historic Route 66 frontage in Tucumcari New Mexico with basic gravel sites and full hookups. It's nothing fancy but is quiet and clean and handy to a decent restaurant and the Dinosaur Museum. Some sites are nicely shaded.
- Verizon cell phone service is available here with a weak signal but there is no Broadband service.
- Locate Cactus RV Park on my Night Camps map
- Check the weather here
It's Time to Go Home
The truth about nature is that she is inside us, all around us, just waiting for us to ask her what to do. The truth about civilization is that it was an honest mistake, an invention that was necessary at the time, a mere 30,000 years ago, when nature appeared to be letting us down and we thought we could do better. But now it has outlived its usefulness, and is out of control, and threatens the survival of all life on our planet, so it's time to let it go. It's time to move forward and imagine and invent a new culture, a sustainable one that works for all creatures on Earth, drawing on the best learnings from nature and the best innovations from civilization.
It's time to go home.
