Replacing the sewer hose storage tube
A while back I bought a new sewer hose to use instead of the macerator pump whenever dumping the black and gray tanks is simply a matter of dropping a hose down a hole and letting gravity do the rest. As I'm getting more experience with this RVing business I'm finding this is usually the case and using a swer hose will greatly speed up the process. I'll still need the macerator pump at home where dumping the tanks into the septic system is on an up hill lie but otherwise a simple sewer hose is the way to go.
The old sewer hose storage tube was a section of 4 inch aluminum flexible duct that had seen better days and was too short for the new hose I bought. So I replaced it with a longer piece.

Observational Learning
[Learning by watching] is called observational learning. When it comes to evolutionary fears, as well as to many other areas of learning, animals and people learn by watching what other animals or people do, not by doing something themselves and learning from the consequences. I have the impression this lesson hasn't quite been absorbed by most educators. You read that hands-on learning is best, but that may not always be so. Obviously evolution has selected for strong observational learning in animals and in humans.
