I'm adding Daniel Quinn's Beyond Civilization: Humanity's Next Great Adventure to my wish list. I think Quinn's book is the source of this quote in a piece by Dave Pollard.
"People will listen when they're ready to listen and not before. Probably, once upon a time, you weren't ready to listen to an idea than now seems to you obvious, even urgent.
